Originally by: Stonny Nektara Here was my cancellation message that I sent to CCP:
The constant and willful dismissal of the community's concerns regarding the implemented Macro-transactions (note, I use macro as it is the correct terminology for something large). Offering up scapegoats and non-committal answers is not acceptable CCP. With the way you have handled this issue more than the issue itself, you have caused me to be hurt. I had such high hopes for my return to EVE, but this is unacceptable. While I understand that the internal document was merely discussion, the fact that, in all ways, you have ignored the cries of your player-base is reprehensible.
EVE is a unique game, and as such needs to be kept pristine and unsoiled by the actions of its developers and employees so as to catalyse constant growth. Alas, the hubris of the management at Crowd Control Productions seems to look at it as dying cash-cow that must have every resource stolen from it with a ferocity that only brings death.
I have every intent to never again return to, or compliment in discussion, the game know as EVE Online, unless powerful action is taken to quell the fears of the community, and assurances are made against the continued exploitation of the player-base. We are a resource to be fostered and cared for if maximum return is desired; the abuse and destruction aimed at us currently will only end or severely diminish all worth that is inherent in every single person associated with a game, regardless of payment model.
As no significant action has been taken as of yet, and the prospect for a proper response materialising within an acceptable time-frame is slim, I bid you adieu.
Fare Thee Well.
2 accounts (full) cancelled.
lol at you for thinking they actually read those.

based on the numbers from just this thread, CCP is standing to lose at least $145,000 in annual revenue. I'd like to know the true number of subs that have been dropped since Incarna hit. This has to be hitting them hard. |

some pretty prominent names are starting to post in this thread. This REALLY is starting to be reminiscent of the NGE.

as of the most recent tally, CCP would need to sell just under 39 (38.8) monocles a day to make up for lost subs.
